This Site is operated by Belfast City Council of City Hall, Donegall Square, Belfast, BT1 5GS (the “Council”).
Information about you
Use of the Site
The Site is aimed at users from private sector, public sector, third sector and academic organisations that either need support to address a COVID-19 problem or can provide a solution to a COVID-19 problem.
You must make sure that all information you provide is true, correct and complete, and let us know if it changes.
If you contribute to the Site, either as a request for help or an offer of help, you undertake to ensure that your contribution is accurate, relevant and genuine.
You cannot use the Site:
- for any unlawful purpose
- for spamming
- to knowingly transmit any data, send or upload any material that contains viruses, Trojan horses, worms, time-bombs, keystroke loggers, spyware, adware or any other harmful programs or similar computer code designed to adversely affect the operation of any computer software or hardware
- to submit information that is, or is likely to be, discriminatory, hateful, false, inaccurate, threatening, defamatory, abusive, obscene, indecent, seditious, offensive, pornographic, harassing, profane, sexually oriented, invasive of a person's privacy, liable to incite racial hatred, menacing, scandalous, inflammatory, blasphemous, in breach of confidence, or which may cause annoyance or inconvenience or otherwise be a breach of the law.
Accuracy of information
The Council makes no representations that information contributed by other users of the Site is accurate, up to date or complete. The Council accepts no liability for any loss or damage caused whatsoever due to any of the information contained on the Site being inaccurate, incomplete or out of date.
The Council accepts no liability and offers no warranties in relation to the Site and its content, to the fullest extent such liability can be excluded by law.
Any views expressed in posts or messages on the Site are not necessarily those of Belfast City Council or anyone connected with it.
In no event shall the Council be liable to any users of the Site or any third party for any direct, indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, revenue or goodwill arising from use of the Site or information on the Site.
The Council is a distributor (and not a publisher) of content supplied by third parties and users of the Site. Any opinions, advice, statements, services, offers, or other information or content expressed or made available by third parties, including information providers, or users, are those of the authors or distributors and not the Council.
The information on the Site is not intended to address your particular requirements. Such information does not constitute any form of advice or recommendation by the Council and is not intended to be relied upon by you in making (or refraining from making) any specific investment, or other decisions. Users should take their own professional advice, as necessary.
If you make an arrangement with anyone named on or connected with the Site this is at your sole risk.
Users should ensure that they are satisfied with the exact type and nature of goods and services being offered by any organisation listed on the Site. Belfast City Council is not acting as an agent for any Site User nor will it give guarantees for any of the goods and services listed on the Site.

Where the Site contains links to other sites and resources provided by third parties, these links are provided for your information only. The Council has no control over the contents of those sites or resources, and accepts no responsibility or liability for any information contained within or for any loss or damage that may arise from your use of them.
Termination or suspension of use
The Council shall, at its absolute discretion, determine whether there has been a breach of these terms and conditions through your use of the Site. When a breach has occurred, the Council may instigate an:
- immediate, temporary or permanent withdrawal of your right to use the Site; and
- immediate, temporary or permanent removal of any posting or material uploaded by you to the Site.
Intellectual Property Rights
The Site and all intellectual property rights in it are owned by Belfast City Council, unless otherwise stated. Intellectual property rights means rights such as: copyright, trade marks, domain names, design rights, database rights, patents and all other intellectual property rights of any kind whether or not they are registered or unregistered (anywhere in the world). The Council reserves all of its rights in any intellectual property in connection with these terms and conditions.
Nothing in these Terms and conditions grants you any legal rights in the Site other than as necessary to enable you to access the Site. You agree not to adjust to try to circumvent or delete any notices contained on the Site (including any intellectual property notices) and in particular in any digital rights or other security technology embedded or contained within the Site.
You retain the intellectual property rights in any of your content, products, or services that you offer through the Site. It is your responsibility to make arrangements to safeguard your Intellectual Property Rights.
Availability of the Site
The Council will use reasonable efforts to ensure that the Site is available at all times. However, it cannot guarantee that the Site or any individual function or feature of the Site will always be available and/or error free. In particular, the Site may be unavailable during periods when upgrades are being implemented or essential maintenance is being carried out.
Jurisdiction and applicable law
These terms and conditions are governed by Northern Irish law. The Northern Irish courts will have exclusive jurisdiction over any claim arising from, or related to use of the Site.
Variations to terms and conditions
The Council may revise these terms and conditions at any time. The Council may notify you of any such changes by any reasonable means, including by posting the revised version of these terms and conditions on the Site. You can determine when changes have been made to the terms and conditions by referring to the date at the top of this document. Your continued use of the Site following changes to these the terms and conditions will constitute your acceptance of those changes.
